As we head into the Holiday Season, it is a time of year to reflect on how we can easily get caught up in the commercialization of Christmas and forget the people that are in need, those for whom a gently used blanket is a luxury.
The Blanket Drive is one of my favorite causes because we offer practical help to people in need; they are cold, we offer them a gently used blanket, maybe a pair of new socks. Small gestures that make a difference.
If you are able to support us with new or gently used blankets, sleeping bags, coats, warm clothing, new socks, and new underwear, I will be at Lynn Valley Mall on Saturday, November, 23, 2019, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. If you are unable to make it, call me and I will be happy to arrange pick up.
